Cost Index: 20 dollar scalped ticket, actually camped for free about 20 miles outside of Louisville
Tickets: Easy
Stadium: Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium is new, built in 1998. When you walk in it's impressive, it's horseshoe style. No bad seats anywhere in the joint. My one complaint was that the video screens were way too small, if there was a replay it was very difficult to see what happened and given the way football games are consumed these days you need a good HD screen in the stadium.
Another detail they really fucked up on down there is the traffic situation. It was terrible. The tailgate wasn't great either because there aren't enough lots right around the stadium. It appears pre 1998 they had the perfect situation with the stadium being in the middle of the fair grounds which are now about a half mile from Papa Johns. Not sure why they just didn't build on the stadium site, I'm sure it was something political.

Description: My problem with the stadium and the overall experience at Louisville was that they were trying to hard. They had a FUCKING DJ "SPINNING" during play stoppages. Let me tell you, there is nothing like watching 45 year old women dance to some shitty DJ. They were trying to hard to be "cool". The crowd was loud but I could barely tell where the students were sitting. There were a lot of drunk, fat, 45 year old white guys there acting retarded. It was a depressing scene for a game, can't say I had a great time or would be in a rush to go back.
I will say this, for all of the attention Teddy Bridgewater gets I think the defense is the strength of the team. They will win in the ACC if they keep their coach around. The game itself was nothing special, Louisville just pounded out a win. Bridgewater did not play particularly well or look like a franchise guy, but perhaps he was just nervous.

If you want to make it part of a bigger trip: Merge it with a Kentucky game. Or just go to the Derby in May.
