College: BC (ACC)
Year: 2003
Games: 2003 Miami 33 BC 14, 2002 Virginia Tech
28 BC 23
Rating: 4 out of 10 or (Barely average)
Cost: It’s Boston so it’s going to be
expensive. Camping is not really an
option.
Tickets: Pretty easy
Stadium: Generic, just like BC
Description: The old saying around Boston is “How do
you know if someone went to BC”? The
answer: “Wait 5 minutes and they’ll tell you.”
If I had to describe BC football it wouldn’t even take 5 minutes. The tailgate is weak, the game experience is
average. When you walk around the
stadium it’s creepy because all of the students look the same. It is exhibit A as to why college football is
not as popular in the northeast as it is almost everywhere else in the US. This is supposed to be our "big time" program. Also, enough with this “BC Superfan”
concept. They are anything but
“Superfans”. BC has never been
considered an intimidating place to play, unless you are a 10 year old alter
boy.
Having said all this if you still want to hit a BC game here is how I
would proceed. Find a labor day game or
some other time in early September when the Red Sox are in town and merge it
with Fenway. That is the only way I can
really justify it.
Don’t Miss: Letting the door
hit you in the ass on the way out
Avoid: BC Superfans
Attendees: Bones, Polychronopolus, Ignatius P Reilly
