This game was at the old Foxboro Stadium. Evidently I went to it! Evidently Penn State won 27-17.
I vaguely remember being there with a friend (can't remember which one) and sitting in front of a bunch of college kids. We were about 14. At one point in the game the kids behind us said "Hey, stand up and do the wave (note: the wave was new then). Of course we did it and they immediately yelled "Look at the fags doing the wave!" They were good guys though, just playing around with us. An indoctrination of sorts.
